Group gifting allows multiple friends and family members to contribute towards a gift for a registrant.
If you wish to allow group gifting, please follow the steps below:
- Turn on group gifting for your store:
- Log in to your Shop Local account.
- Hover over Management at the top of your account. From the drop-down menu, under My Business Profile & Settings, click Gift Registry.
- At the bottom of the Registry Services section on the left of the Registry Service Settings page, please find "Allow Group Gifting."
- If you wish to allow group gifting, set the drop-down to "Yes."
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Your Changes.
- Turn on group gifting for a registry:
- Log in to your Shop Local account.
- Roll over Gift Registry in the main navigation, then click Gift Lists in the drop-down menu.
- Find and select a registry that you wish to view. You'll be taken to the registry's Overview page.
- Click Profile & Settings to open the registry's profile.
- In the "General" section, there is an "Allow group gifting" setting.
- If this feature is off and you wish to turn it on, click the checkbox next to "Allow group gifting."
- If this feature is on and you wish to turn it off, unclick the checkbox next to "Allow group gifting."
- Scroll to the bottom and click Save Registry Profile.
- Mark a product eligible for group gifting:
- Log in to your Shop Local account.
- Roll over Gift Registry in the main navigation, then click Gift Lists in the drop-down menu.
- Find and select a registry that you wish to view. You'll be taken to the registry's Overview page.
- Click Gift List to open the registrant's list of requested items.
- Under the product you wish to make eligible for group gifting, click the checkbox next to "Allow group gifting for this item." A green banner will appear confirming group gifting for the product has been turned on.
Once all three steps above have been completed, a gift giver will be able to enter the amount they wish to contribute to the item when they check out.
