Or, it may be ocean. It’s possible that the time to recoup investments will be too ...

National retailers are investing in tech startups in order to push back against Amazon. One such alliance is Home Depot’s investment in Roadie, an Uber like delivery service that utilizes people’s own cars for delivering goods. Walmart and Delta also use the service.
As you may recall, there is a war going on between the camps of Walmart, Home Depot and the like vs Amazon.
Versace, a Smart Brand partner, is featured in today’s Times for its dopp kit. We don’t have these items in Bridge—just the cups, plates, and vases—but will congratulate the designer on its success here.

Amy Stavis in Tableware Today shares that 47% of New Jersey Millennials live with their parents, and nationally 74% aren’t married. This translates into a smaller gift registry market than 40 or 20 years ago.

Fast and free shipping are increasingly expected from shoppers—they’re part of the reasons why Amazon beats up on indie stores. Can you think of an indie store that owns its own delivery network? Besides a florist who may have a van, most likely not. This delivery service will further put indie stores at a disadvantage.
Whether you’re a store, sales rep, or indie brand, Amazon’s aspirations are most ...
