Shown here is Royal Doulton's 'Pacific' (bone china) dinner plates and Juliska's 'Splatter and Spin' melamine (plastic) plates. While Juliska's plate is plastic, it costs more than 50% more. Royal Doulton's plates are often under $10 whereas Juliska's plate is $16.
