Today is National Pickle Day! Some of our favorites are Lauri Jo's, especially her Green Tomato Pickles. These pickles take 5 days to make, are sweet yet tangy, crisp and crunchy, and just dog-gone delicious! Chop them up and add to potato salad, deviled eggs, or slaw and you will never use any other kind of pickle again. They are a stand-alone food, too. Men love them with vegetables or fish. They are just that good.
View PostLauri Jo's Mayhaw Pepper Jelly is about as southern as a jelly can be. A delightful jelly with a hint of tart, it is great on everything from hot buttery biscuits to a spoonful on roasted pork!
Mayhaws are native to the soggy swamplands of South Georgia. They grow on trees and are small, round, red, tart fruit (about 1/2 to 3/4 inch in diameter). Mayhaw trees are very long-lived, as they can produce fruit for more than 50 years!
Tailgating season is upon us and in the south one staple is cream cheese and pepper jelly. Lauri Jo's 13th Colony Southern Corn Whiskey Pepper Jelly is perfect for your tailgating creations.
This pepper jelly is the outcome of two south Georgia companies coming together to make one unique yet absolutely divine product.
Lauri Jo's Watermelon Rind Pickles taste just like Christmas smells. They are full of cinnamon, clove and a super crunch!! A lot of people in the South like to eat them with fried fish. Try them wrapped in bacon and grilled as well!
All of Lauri Jo's high quality "Southern Favorites" food items are now available through a la carte.
