While often used to complement Herend's patterns, this dramatic, decorative border is fully appreciated when it gets top billing. Fish scale is available in multiple shapes and nine colors: raspberry, rust, brown, gold, gray, two shades of blue, and two shades of green.

Your Bridge 2.0 update is complete. Your site now offers a smoother, cleaner experience for customers--and you.
Your upgrade to 2.0 software is free and automatic--you do not need to take any steps. This free upgrade is especially valuable because a new retail website costs $11,000 - $29,000 on average to setup. (Source: Atlantic Business Technologies.)
1. You will wish to learn what is new in 2.0.
I will be sharing a video about what is new in Bridge 2.0.
Do you want to boost your Google ranking and better promote your store?
Try 'domain masking.' Domain masking is a service that Bridge offers that hides the 'bridgecatalog' part of your domain name. With domain masking, your website addresses will be 'cleaner,' you'll increase your Google ranking, and you'll enjoy other benefits.
As an example, Vieuxtemps (a gift shop in Charleston) uses domain masking. Its website urls are:
You know spring is here when the weather gets nicer, the skies get bluer, and when it's time to get the Mackenzie-Childs Flower Market out! Come on in and get your rose napkin rings, Flower Market, or the New Royal Check Enamelware! ???

I hate for it to appear like we are trying to capitalize on the tragedy at Notre Dame on Monday, but the demand for the Notre Dame Limoges box has been tremendous the last couple of days. People all over the world want to remember this grand and majestic cathedral with a Limoges box. We are currently out of inventory, but have a PO in house with the factory in Limoges, France. Delivery is expected at the end of May. We are taking preorders through April 30 at the current cost. Effective May...

Carousel is our newest pattern. You'll want to use this big serving bowl all over the house, one day holding fruit on the dining room table then holding the main course the next. Stoneware from Portugal, dishwasher and microwave safe.

YouTube is likely filled with a lot of fake entities posting content, reports today’s WSJ. Why is this notable? Because YouTube is increasingly carrying kids videos geared to our kids. I believe knowing who is broadcasting videos to our nation’s children is important. YouTube should require a entity posting certain content to authenticate their identity—and maybe should do this for all content posted. Truth should have a true author.

54% of people looking for a product go directly to Amazon. That’s not good for nearly anyone in our industry. Amazon takes a 30% cut and keeps all the customer’s contact information (email, tel, address). If you’re a retailer, you can’t operate a successful business giving away 30% of your 50% cut of a retail sale.
If you’re a brand, over the last few year you were probably relishing in selling direct, cutting out the rep commission, and getting 100% of the sale. Well now Amazon is your new ...

I was going to recommened reading this Shopify article about converting website visitors to shoppers but then I realized what a rip off Shopify is.
In the screen shot shown, we see Shopify promote nine apps. The apps use the 'freemium' model where you try it for free, then often quickly get stuck paying. In sum, Shopify is nickel and dime-ing users.
When you use Shopify, it's like going to Disneyland and paying for each ride separately. You think that the theme park will be fun but by the time ...

Happy to see Diane Seidle’s lastest strategy article in Tableware Today below. Speaking of hashtags, Bridge created its own ‘$tag’ to similarly offer quick access to product info. Type a dollar symbol “$” before a SKU and the specific item will magically appear below your Chalk.
Tableware Today:
WHAT'S YOUR HASHTAG STRATEGY?
Just in case you’ve been living off the grid for a year or more, a hashtag is simply a word or phrase behind a pound sign. When you use a hashtag that word or phrase becomes ...

For Sales Reps:
Is your job in danger? Faire, an online wholesale platform, wants to cut out reps. If you hear of your brands using Faire--or retailers--I'd ask them why they don't value sales reps.
Faire is not 'fair' to reps. It cheats you out of your hard work. Let's imagine you work on a retailer to open it, then clean its shelves, stock its shelves, and help it get product quickly. Then the store orders via Faire. When it does this, you're gonna be working for free.
Only 2 days left until our Customer appreciation sale starts and lasts trough the weekend....Come by at 3pm on Friday when it starts and see all the hot spring items we have and get a free flower with purchase. Refreshments and smiles will be provided. Make sure to come by Rickey Heroman's and see what the fuss is all about.

Gartner shares that most consumers start their purchase for a brand by using search. Search beats e-mail and social, which makes sense. If you wanted to buy brand X, wouldn't you just go to Google and search for "X"? Of course.
Which then leads us to this point: how well does your business rank for your brands? If a customer Googles brands that you sell, such as X, Y, and Z, where do you rank in Google?
How does the retail industry compare to the restaurant industry? Both may be selling fewer high margin items, and giving up more of the profit to third-party platforms. While a restaurant pays a commission to DoorDash, retailers selling on Amazon may pay it 30%. And when a store sells on Amazon it doesn’t get the customer’s email or contact information. It’s like a restaurant being turned into a back-end catering kitchen that never sees the eating guest. That’s not a recipe for success.
