"Are you happy?” That’s a question you may ask yourself. Your parents and friends also likely inquire (I hope!). While it may seem flaky to say, happiness is important. This topic was the subject of Dr. Edward Diener, who passed away in April of this year. Dr. Diener, who studied happiness and earned the moniker “Dr. Happiness,” reported that happiness often correlates with social relationships, being with others, and not being alone.
I’m seeing a disturbing trend online. Stores are not sharing news and events on their websites. Instead, they are relying on Facebook (and Instagram, which it also owns) to perform this task. That’s like a customer coming into the physical store and the store manager saying: "Want our news and events? We don’t have it here. Go to the coffee shop next door—which will be filled with our competitors pitching to you."
Please note.....The store will be closed on Saturday, July 3rd, and Monday, July 5th to allow our staff time to celebrate with friends and family. We look forward to seeing you in the store on Tuesday, July 6th to help you with your gift-giving needs. While we are away you can shop our website: http://www.gainesjewelers.com.
Pat Hensley, a sales rep for Ryan Associates, helped her store and her brands this morning.
Pat signed up Canterbury Court, a gift and antique shop in Texas. By just spending a few minutes, the retailer has a live Bridge Store with 1,800+ products. Customers and brides-to-be can shop these products. Google will rank the store higher due to these products. The store saved months of web development time and thousands of dollars in labor.
Greetings from the Dallas show. Happy to meet with our partners at Savannah Bee and Pampa Bay.

I enjoyed today’s WSJ article about stores teaming up to take on Amazon. Since Bridge has collectivized 800 indie shops to push back against Amazon, we can relate to efforts to help stores team up and boost their communities.
The article mentions Shopify and its popularity among indie shops. Shopify, along with BigComerce, Big Cartel, Wix, and Magento, are platforms that have helped indies to grow online independent of Amazon.
While we appreciate any platform that helps indies...

Business leader Scott Galloway said this past week on his podcast Pivot that "complexity is a tax on the poor." I'd expand on that and posit that: complexity is a tax on indie businesses.
What if indie businesses could reduce the complexity and costs of running an online business? I believe we can. Bridge is reducing the costs of running an online business for more than a thousand businesses.
How do we reduce the 'tax'? Bridge often helps a retailer set up an online store ...

I am sending the Ivystone sales rep Laura Zanone two $200 checks. Bridge gives sales reps a finder's fee when they sign up a retailer for a Bridge Store. The rep promotes Bridge Store because it helps the store sell more--which is good for the store and the rep.
Laura helped her stores save thousands of dollars and weeks of time. In total, she saved her stores over $6,000 and 10 weeks in labor.
In this video I share why retailers don’t add a brand’s products to their websites and therefore fail the brand and themselves in the e-commerce race.
Bridge’s Smart Products marketing service ‘bridges’ the gaps in online distribution. Bridge's service helps brands show 100% of the brand’s products on an infinite number of retailers’ Bridge Stores. The retailer can use Bridge Store as a stand-...

Navarra’s, a fine jewelry and gift store in Lake Charles, LA, signed up for a Bridge Store on May 5th, 2021. It instantly received an online store and a gift registry for free. Within 2 days, its online store also displayed 10,000+ products. The store was able to offer many products quickly using Bridge’s Smart Products service. The service crowdsources product maintenance and allows each respective brand to effectively manage its items through the platform to free up time for Bridge...

Pizazz, a bridal and gift shop in Columbus, MS, signed up for a Bridge Store yesterday. It instantly received from Bridge an online store and an online gift registry for free. Within one day, it also offered 23,000+ products online. The store was able to quickly offer so many products using Bridge's Smart Products service. The service crowdsources product maintenance and allows each respective brand to manage its items behind the scenes.
The Carriage House in Indianola, MS, signed up for a Bridge Store today. In just a few hours, it had an online store, a gift registry, and 10,000+ products to offer.
Without Bridge, a store often pays about $750 for every 1,000 products it adds to its website--and this takes about 50 hours.
By using Bridge, the store has already saved about $7,500 and 500 hours (about 13 weeks).
The Carriage House offers on its Bridge Store the full product offerings from fine brands like Annieglass, ...

I came across this 2012 HFN article about Bridge. In 2012, we had 40 stores using our e-commerce software. Today, we have more than 740. Thank you for helping us grow 18x in the last nine years :)
We’re pleased to see William-Wayne & Co. featured in the article. This NYC retail heirloom has been a client since 2001–before we even started Bridge or the Smart Products marketing service. They’re still a client today. Thank you William-Wayne & Co. for trusting with...

Wouldn't you agree that people around the world are cleaner as they undertake to get beyond the global pandemic of Corona virus. It seems that it is time to stop advising people to do what we all have memorized about washing hands, social distancing and wearing masks. “Following simple handwashing practices is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of many types of infection and illness." Dr.Michele, MD, of the FDA says. “We can’t advise this ...

Brands and retailers used to be friends. Now they're: 'frenemies.' Brands continue to use the power of e-commerce websites and social media to work around retailers, as evidenced in this news that Nike is no longer selling to Macy's.
