New Software Features & Updates
How a registrant can require a password to access their registry.
Your Shop Local Store has a new feature: A registrant can now password-protect their registry. By adding a password, a registrant can choose who they wish to get access to their registry.
Benefits of having a password-protected registry:
- Privacy: Only gift-givers that received the password from the registrant can access the registry.
- Controlled Access: A registrant can control who can access their registry.
- Greater Security: A registrant's personal details will not be available to the general public.
- Personalized Experience: A password makes the registry feel more exclusive to gift givers—only those handpicked by the registrant can access it.
If you wish to share this feature with your registrants, please share the following steps with them:
- Please log in to your registry.
- Once logged in, you'll be taken to your Registry Overview page.
- On the Registry Overview page, click "Your Registry Profile."
- In your registry profile & settings, please scroll down to the "Restrict Access to Registry" section.
- Click the checkbox next to "Require a Password." A "Password" field will appear.
- In the password field, enter a password for your registry that others will use to view your registry list.
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Save Your Changes."
Please note: If you set a password, you will need to share it with each person you wish to access the registry. They will not be able to see your gift list without it.
