A pleasure to tour the updated The Ivy House store in Dallas. Laura May, the owner, took me for a tour of her ode to fine china. I learned that her shop is named after Josiah Wedgwood’s home in England.

Nice to see this 1780s antique by Wedgwood advertised in today’s Times. Wedgwood continues today as a brand in the Fiskars family and is a Smart Brand partner.

We were happy to read the book review for Josiah Wedgwood's new biography. Wedgwood is still produced today (250 years later) and is a Smart Brand member. I always find it fun to be reminded that Josiah's grandson was Charles Darwin.
Wedgwood is in its 260th year shares Tableware Today. Josiah Wedgwood, the eleventh child of a potter, was a skilled potter himself by age nineβyet couldnβt use a traditional potterβs wheel because of a small pox inflicted injury. In 1765, Queen Charlotte gave him the right to use the title βPotter to the Queen.β Fun fact: Josiahβs grandson was Charles Darwin.
