Seasons greetings from the PNW everyone! I was out shopping today and came across a sign in the wild promoting Shop Local, a concept near and dear to us and something we have believed in from the inception of the company..helping support local businesses in a way that's beneficial to all. So much so that we began transitioning Bridge to ShopLocal earlier this year.
This particular sign was in a mall similar to one that you may have near you. Having been decimated by big name brands pulling up retail stakes, the owners of the mall leaned hard into drawing local businesses to fill the storefronts. The end result is a mall still filled with people shopping for the holidays. That's a win for business owners and a chance for shoppers (like me) to feel good knowing I am supporting people who live and work close to me. (Ironically some of these local retailers still sold the some of the name brand items that larger corporation did in the same mall back in the day.)
We think this Shop Local thing is just getting started and we're hard at work at many exciting upgrades to benefit everyone who works with us on all sides of the ecomm ecosystem.
